Terms of use
By using Kerbish you agree to these terms. You'll be asked to accept them before your first post.
What Kerbish is
Kerbish is a map where people share free stuff left on the kerb. Kerbish doesn't own, inspect, store or guarantee any item, and isn't a party to anything between people.
Items are free and taken at your own risk
- Everything on Kerbish is free. Don't ask for or offer payment.
- You take items at your own risk. Check an item is safe and suitable before you use it. Electrical items, furniture and children's items in particular may be unsafe.
- A post might be out of date. Items may already be gone.
- To the extent the law allows, Kerbish isn't liable for loss, injury or damage connected with an item or a meeting. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Be a good neighbour
- Follow your council's rules about kerbside items, clean-up dates and what can be left out.
- Never go onto private property to get an item. Stay on the public kerb or nature strip.
- Be quiet and tidy, and leave the kerb as you found it.
Posting
- Only post stuff that is on the public kerb, or your own Pile that you've put out for others.
- Post accurate photos and locations. Don't post someone else's property or stuff you don't have the right to give away.
- You keep ownership of your photos. You give Kerbish permission to show them in the app for as long as the post is live.
Prohibited items
Don't post any of these. They're unsafe to leave on the kerb and will be removed:
- Asbestos
- Chemicals and paint
- Gas bottles
- Tyres
- Car batteries and household batteries
- Anything illegal, stolen or recalled
For these items, use the Northern Sydney Community Recycling Centre in Artarmon.
Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse
There is no place on Kerbish for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. That includes offensive, explicit, hateful, violent, threatening or harassing content, spam and scams, and photos of people without their consent.
- Photos are checked automatically, and you can report any post or block any user from within the app.
- We review reports and aim to act within 24 hours.
- We may remove any post, remove points, and suspend or ban users, at our discretion and without notice.
Kerbish Plus
If Kerbish Plus is available, it's a paid subscription billed by Apple or Google through your store account. Prices, free trials and renewals are shown at purchase. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Ending your access
You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using Kerbish after a change, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
